Old-Fashion casserole with vegetables in a table! Broccoli and onion stew with cream cheese
Only there's nothing like the comfort of an antique vase Pizazz add to your meals. This is good for you to try. Broccoli Onion This is a great version of the popular broccoli casserole. This stew is a small package of cream cheese, cream, recipes that use regular canned soups. Simple and very rich – now that's a good combination!
Broccoli – Onion Casserole
1 pound fresh broccoli or frozen broccoli 10 oz
3 mediumOnions, quartered
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
4.3 teaspoon salt
Dash black pepper
1 cup milk
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
2 ounces sharp American cheese, grated
1 cup soft bread crumbs
Cut the broccoli and Britney length cut into pieces 1 inch. Cook in boiling salted water until soft. (Or cook frozen broccoli according to package directions). Drain broccoli. Cook onions in boiling salted water and let drain.
In a skillet melt 2 tablespoonsButter and flour, salt and pepper. Add milk and cook, stirring, until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat, stir in cream cheese soft. Put the vegetables in butter and cover 1/2-quart casserole. Sauce over vegetables and mix gently to ensure all the vegetables are covered. Top with grated cheese. Cover and let stand for several minutes.
Melt the remaining butter and mix with bread crumbs in a small bowl. Cover andcool.
Bake the casserole, covered, for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle the crumbs on the edges of the pan. Bake uncovered, until heated about 20-30 minutes.
Note: This is a perfect recipe to prepare in advance what it takes to get to relax before cooking. When I get home, the stove is ready!
